A big part of my recovery process is all the people who came out to support me while I was in the coma. You prayed for me, and your prayers were not only heard – they were answered. PRAISE GOD! How do I know this? I know because, I did wake up and I’m getting better everyday! I found the journal that many of you wrote in. I’ve compiled each entry as a healing exercise and included them in this blog. I refer to it often…

Each of you has played a huge role in my survival, with your love and your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there.

Hey crazy girl -
I miss you so much and would love to see your beautiful eyes again. Turner just isn’t the same without you. I miss seeing you on a regular basis, so we have to promise to get together more once you are up and out of here. I’m praying to everyone who will listen for your speedy recovery! Rest up while you are here, but not for too long. We’d much rather see you at Atlantic Station than here. Smile.

Hi Ms. Camille -
The ladies (Jazlyn & Jaylah) missed bible study tonight to come see you. But, we told the Pastor of our special prayer request. Everyone is praying for your speedy recovery. I told my family about you, and my father lifted a prayer for you. He asked that I share this scripture with you. Psalms 27 – Know that the Lord is your light and your salvation.
We pray that the Lord manifests in you and lifts your spirits.

I definitely have faith that you will pull out from this. So, when you read this when you are awake I want you to know that you are never alone and I love you as well as so many other people who come to see you. Hi Camille-
We love you and miss you. So, we finally get to come to Atlanta. And, it’s just your style that you’re in the nicest hospital I’ve ever been to. I feel like the staff, mainly the nurses are doing the best they can. So, guess what? It’s a time for miracles. And, you are going to be the one that God uses to teach us something new. I’m sure you are learning things while you are sleeping that you will be able to share later. And, I promise to shut up and listen. It is always in our lowest moments that we learn the most about ourselves and others. I do believe all things work together for the greatest good and in all things we must remember to say thank you. Know that there are people praying for you that you don’t even know. People you haven’t met. So, as I sit her waiting for the glow in yours, I am comforted by my faith in God.

It’s Christy Collins again. I had to come by to tell you that Barack Obama was voted our new President. I knew you would be rejoicing right now! So Gerri and I come to rejoice with you and on your behalf. What a historical moment this was for our country yesterday. People were dancing in the streets! All colors, all ages of people were dancing in the streets, singing, screaming and crying. All of this was going on in your neighborhood at Atlantic Station. That’s were I went to see this extraordinary moment unfold. I am praying for the moment we can discuss this and rejoice together.
